Together we can reach everyone who needs hospice care
In May 2012 St Barnabas set up a brand new service, Hospice at Home, which meant for the first time we could offer St Barnabas House’s exceptional hands-on nursing within the comfort and familiarity of patients’ own homes.
In the short time Hospice at Home has been in operation, we’ve made a really big difference to the care experience of over 1800 local people and families. Initially we were offering care between the hours of 8.30am and 9pm however the team found that the night can be the worst time for both patient and family. So in 2015, with the help of money raised from Night to Remember, we launched the Hospice at Home night service. This has allowed a patient’s family to rest, knowing there is a St Barnabas House Health Care Assistant (HCA) there to sit with the patient and provide for their needs for the whole night.
Please register for Night to Remember and raise as much sponsorship as you possibly can, so that whilst you are walking through the night of Saturday 30 June, our Hospice at Home team can care for patients in their own homes, through their darkest hours of need.
